Acadia National Park:
Deluxe Camping Trip

Our deluxe camping trip is a perfect choice for families wanting an outdoors adventure. We follow the same itinerary as our 6-day Inn trip but stay in a beautiful campground in Southwest Harbor.

This is hassle-free camping. Your Trip Leaders do all the work from setting up the tents to rolling out your sleeping bag. We provide all the camping equipment including spacious tents, comfortable, cozy sleeping bags, and extra-thick sleeping pads.

During the day we'll venture off and explore Acadia National Park and then return to our campsite. You'll sit back and relax while the kids play games or take a swim, and our staff prepares a fantastic dinner. In the morning you'll wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and a full breakfast, and our lunch selections are sure to please everyone. For those of you new to camping, our campsite has all the amenities including hot showers and full bathrooms.

We have great memories of our childhood family camping trips. Being outdoors, sitting around a campfire and sleeping to the restful sounds of nature are a perfect experience to bring families closer together. This is family camping at its best!

Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park is an area rich with wildlife and scenic beauty. This national jewel is comprised of 17 mountains that rise from the sea and a glacier-carved landscape. The Acadia experience offers spectacular views of pink granite cliffs, evergreen forests that touch the sea, the only fjord in the eastern U.S. and an abundance of wildlife: peregrine falcons, bald eagles, foxes, beavers, osprey, seals, whales and more. If you are an early riser, be the first in the U.S. to see the sun rise atop Cadillac Mountain. We'll take you biking on Acadia's famous auto-free carriage roads built by the Rockefeller family. You'll swim in a pristine lake, kayak in sheltered bays, and enjoy the beauty of Acadia National Park in all its splendor.

We'll visit historic Bar Harbor, a beautiful waterfront resort town that was once the summer playground of such families as the Rockefellers, Fords, and Morgans. Walk past mansions of yesteryear, check out the shops and galleries, and then head to Ben & Bill's for some lobster ice cream!
